A huge reason for many marriage problems is that the two partners will not give in during an argument, both people want to be right and win. But the reality is that there is no real wrong or right, because these are two human beings who see things differently.
There has to be a give and take for a marriage to really succeed. There's a possibility that one of you is right or truly think that you are, but there are some times where it's best to let go and be wrong. Should there be repetitive disagreements over certain things then you may need to learn some rules for discussing the disagreement.
Some suggested ways to go about setting rules it to create an item that you hold when it is your turn to talk. This stops both parties from speaking over each other and allows both parties to be heard. When your partner is talking listen without judgment to not only the words they are saying but the feelings as well. This will allow for a more open exchange and you may actually gain more insight.
Set times to sit and talk about the issues and a time limit for a discussion on one topic before you begin. This way the argument doesn't keep going, when it is over it is over, and it is not to keep being brought up over and over again.
