Having kids is actually every couple's dream. Women are endowed with the capacity called child birthing and it is one of the most unexplained miracles in life. Being the mother, you endured all the pains entailed in those nine long months of carrying your baby in your womb. The manner of raising kids varies from one set of parents to another. If when they were younger, you often sang them a lullaby in order to lull them to sleep, it is very much different as they grow older. It is not because you send them to school that you should already pass this responsibility to the teachers. Therefore, be consistent in setting the rules. If one of you says something is not allowed to be done, then the other should also reinforce the same thing. Talk to each other regarding how you want to go about with your parenting skills and come up with mutual strategies.
You see, children can be extremely adventurous, inquisitive, and curious so it is in their nature to have the need to explore to know more of the things around them. It is during this time that they also become prone to making wrong decisions which often result to becoming disobedient. Hence, the more that positive parenting is necessary.
Remember that as parents, you should be the role models for your children. They look up to you so be discipline yourselves first so you could pass on the same value to them. After all, positive parenting starts the moment your child is born.
